The Council of Europe Human Rights Day, an event to be held on 4 May 2023, brings together leading expert speakers to discuss the Council of Europe’s impact on human rights in Finland. The day’s themes are resilience and the inclusion of municipal residents. The focus will be on the efforts of the Council of Europe and its stakeholders in promoting human rights, democracy and the rule of law.

The event offers perspectives for decision-makers, experts and municipal residents. The programme features an expert seminar and an event for the public.

In 2023, the The Council of Europe Human Rights Day will be held in the City of Turku at the Arken premises of Åbo Akademi University and at the Hansa shopping centre.

The Council of Europe Human Rights Day in Finland is part of a Europe-wide campaign in the Council’s 46 member states.
